Income Tax Raid Kanpur: Income Tax Department conducted raids on the premises of the owners of SNK Pan Masala Group in Kanpur. Income Tax Department has carried out this action on the complaints of tax evasion. Income Tax Department first raided the residence of the owner of Karela Group and two other places. This group was on the target of Income Tax for a long time and the department was receiving continuous complaints of tax evasion. Earlier, a few months ago also the Income Tax team had conducted raids, but now the raid again has created a stir in the city.
Income Tax Department officials along with police personnel are present inside the businessman’s house and have also seized documents related to the bank along with electronic evidence. If sources are to be believed, this raid has been conducted at the places of other businessmen associated with the Pan Masala business like catechu, betel nut businessmen and perfume businessmen. In the Income Tax raid, action has been taken at the places of some businessmen and their associates of Kannauj district. There are claims of Noida team being present during the raid because Income Tax vehicles with Noida number plate are present outside the businessman’s house.
