To tighten the screws on schools, preparations have been expedited to form a State School Standards Authority. Now its rules are being prepared and it will be approved soon.
After the formation of the authority, the arbitrariness of private schools will be stopped. They will not be able to charge arbitrary fees and various standards will be tightened. It will be an autonomous institution and qualifications will be fixed for the selection of its president and members.
The Secondary Education Department has been given the responsibility of preparing its rules. Primary and secondary schools are currently being run according to the rules prepared by the Basic Education Council and the Secondary Education Council. In such a situation, the rules will be updated according to the current needs and they will be strictly implemented. The authority will also evaluate all the schools, on the basis of which grading will be done.
Help will be taken from the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) for quality assessment and accreditation at the school level. The state government is emphasizing on tightening the noose on private schools as much as possible. This work will be done through the authority. Along with quality education, complaints of parents can also be resolved quickly. Currently, the committee formed under the chairmanship of DM hears it, but it is not so effective.
Pairs will be made between private and government schools
Pairs will be made between government and private schools and these schools will be able to use each other’s resources. If private schools do not have big playgrounds, they will be able to use the playground of the nearby government school.
