After the charge sheet was filed, the trial started in the court and in just 37 days, the court found the accused guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand. The court has sentenced the convict’s real brother Rizwan to 4 years imprisonment for hiding evidence in the murder. In this regard, on September 26, 2023, the police had registered a case at Uparkot Nagar police station on the complaint of family members.

After the accused was sentenced to life imprisonment, the mother of the deceased girl appeared happy with the court’s decision. Regarding the court’s decision, he said that he felt very sad when his daughter was raped and murdered. Today, after the court’s decision, he is equally happy because today his daughter has got justice from the court.

Where the 6 year old innocent daughter of a laborer living in a rented house in Turkman Gate area of Uparkot Nagar Kotwali area, who was playing outside the house, went missing in the morning. After the sudden disappearance of the girl, the family members searched for her, but despite extensive searching, no trace of the girl was found. On this the family reached the police station and informed the police about the entire matter.

Swaleen and his brother Rizwan were charged on January 23, 2024 by the court of Special Judge POCSO Surendra Mohan Sahay after the charge sheet was filed in the court. After this, the court has sentenced Swaleen, accused of raping and murdering the girl, to life in jail and has also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand. His brother Rizwan has been sentenced to four years of imprisonment for hiding the evidence of the incident.

Advocate Mahesh Singh said that the decision given by the court of Special Judge POCSO Surendra Mohan Sahay is for the first time in the history of Aligarh. He said that the verdict has been pronounced within just 37 days after the charge sheet was filed in the court, which has happened for the first time in the POSCO court of Aligarh.
