UP: The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh is now going to give a new identity to the brave martyrs of the country along with saving the environment. For this, the government has decided to develop many special forests across the state. The most special among these will be ‘Shaurya Van’, which will be planted in honor of the immortal martyrs and brave fighters of the country. Such forests will be established in every district so that people can feel patriotism and the environment can also be protected.
This initiative is part of the ‘Green UP’ campaign, under which the government wants to fill the state with greenery. The Forest and Wildlife Department has given detailed information about this scheme to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It also plans to build inspirational forests like Atal Van, Ekta Van, Eklavya Van, Triveni Van, Oxy Van, Gopal Van and Shakti Vatika.
A combination of inspiration and environment
Local people will plant saplings together in every Shaurya Van. This campaign will not be limited to just planting trees, but it will be made a center of patriotism and inspiration. At the same time, ‘Atal Van’ will be developed on the birth centenary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, ‘Ekta Van’ in the memory of Sardar Patel and ‘Eklavya Van’ on the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda.
Oxy Van in urban areas, Gopal Van in cow shelters
In view of the increasing air pollution in cities, the government is going to set up Oxy Van in municipal corporation and municipality areas. These forests will improve the air quality and urban people will get a clean environment. Along with this, ‘Gopal Van’ will be developed in cow shelters with shady and fodder trees, which will provide fodder to the cows and the cow shelters will also become green.
Culture will be connected with Triveni Van and Shakti Vatika
In memory of the Maha Kumbh to be held in 2025, Triveni Van will be established with plants of religious importance like Neem, Peepal and Pakkad on the banks of Ganga and Yamuna. This will strengthen both faith and environment. Similarly, forests named ‘Shakti Vatika’ have been planted at 781 places on Chaitra Navratri, which will advance religious and cultural consciousness.
‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ will start soon
The government is also going to start the second phase of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign soon. Under this, people will promote environmental and emotional bonding by planting trees in the name of their mother. The purpose of this entire scheme is not only to save the environment by planting trees, but also to strengthen social and cultural unity with public participation. This initiative of the Yogi government is becoming inspirational for both environmental lovers and patriots.
