West Palm Beach (USA): US President Donald Trump was repeatedly warning Yemen’s Houthis to mend their ways. Despite this, they were not agreeing, so now Trump has issued a ‘death order’ for Yemen’s Houthis. As soon as they received the order from their President, US fighter planes started heavy bombing on Houthi bases. Trump on Saturday ordered a series of air strikes on areas occupied by Houthi rebels in Yemen. There was initial information of 18 people being killed in this, but now this number has increased to 31. At the same time, 101 people have been injured in this. Along with the attack on the Houthis, Trump has also given a big warning to Iran.

Trump warned that he would continue to attack “with full force” until the Iran-backed Houthi rebels stop their attacks on cargo ships traveling on the vital sea corridor. Houthi rebels said that at least 18 civilians were killed in these air strikes. Trump said in a post on social media, “Our brave soldiers are carrying out air strikes on terrorist bases, their masters and missile defense systems to protect American waterways, air and naval assets and restore freedom of navigation.” He said, “No terrorist force will be able to stop American commercial and naval ships from moving freely on the world’s waterways.”

Iran also warned
Trump also warned Iran to stop supporting the rebel organization or it will be held “fully accountable” for its actions. Houthi rebels on Saturday evening reported airstrikes in Sanaa and Saada, the rebel stronghold on the Saudi Arabian border, on Saturday and Sunday. They also reported airstrikes in Hodeida, Bayda and Marib provinces early Sunday. According to the Health Ministry run by Houthi rebels, at least 18 people were killed, including 13 in Sanaa and five in Saada.

Houthis said they will retaliate

The ministry said at least 24 other people were injured, including nine in Sanaa and 15 in Saada. An American official, on condition of anonymity, said this was the beginning of air strikes on Houthi targets and more attacks would be carried out. Nasruddin Amer, deputy chief of the Houthi media office, said air strikes would not stop them and they would retaliate against the US. Another spokesperson of the Houthi rebels, Mohammad Abdulsalam, in his post on ‘X’, called Trump’s claim that the Houthis pose a threat to international waterways as “false and misleading”.
