Security arrangements have been beefed up in the capital in view of the arrival of US Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance in Delhi this morning. Police officials said on Sunday that the US Vice President, his wife Usha and their three children, Ivan, Vivek and Mirabel, will arrive at Palam Airport at 10 am today on a four-day visit to India.
Let us tell you that ahead of the arrival of US Vice President JD Vance, his hoardings were put up near Palam Airport and Chanakyapuri area. Vice President JD Vance will be on his first official visit to India till April 24. He will be accompanied by Second Lady Usha Vance, his children and senior members of the US administration. During his visit, he will meet Prime Minister Modi.

High alert in Delhi
A senior Delhi Police official said that we have already conducted mock drills as per security protocols for the high-level visit of the US Vice President. Security has been tightened in various areas of Delhi to ensure that everything goes smoothly during the visit and no untoward incident takes place.
Will visit Akshardham temple
He said that the Delhi Traffic Police will also ensure that the traffic remains smooth and his visit to the capital is hassle-free. People associated with JD Vance’s India visit said that a few hours after reaching Delhi, Vance and his family will visit the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple and they may also visit a shopping complex selling traditional Indian handicraft items.
Agra-Jaipur tour after Delhi
The police officer said that we have made security arrangements at the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple, where the US Vice President will visit this evening. We have conducted a thorough inspection of the premises and our teams will be stationed at the premises on the day of the visit as well. Vance is expected to leave Delhi at night and will then visit Jaipur and Agra.
PM Modi to host dinner
Today at 6:30 pm, PM Modi will host JD Vance for talks, which will focus on finalising the proposed India-US bilateral trade agreement as well as ways to boost relations between the two countries. During this, the Indian delegation will include External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and India’s Ambassador to the US Vinay Mohan Kwatra. After the talks, PM Modi will host dinner for the US delegation.
