Uttar Pradesh: A local court in Ballia sentenced a woman and her nephew to life imprisonment, the woman had an illicit relationship with her nephew and both of them together had murdered her husband.

In Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh, the court has sentenced two people to life imprisonment in a 4-year-old murder case. According to the information, a woman was having an affair with her nephew. In such a situation, the woman killed her own husband along with her nephew. After strangling her husband to death, the woman and her nephew hung his body with a noose. According to the information given by the prosecution, on April 21, 2021, the body of a man named Mansingh Verma was found hanging on a noose in the premises of a rice mill. This incident took place in Telma Jalaluddinpur village of Ubhaon police station area of ​​​​Ballia. However, when the post-mortem of the body was done, the report revealed that the murder was committed by strangulation. After this the police started investigating the matter.

Regarding this incident, deceased Mansingh’s elder brother Rameshwar Verma had lodged a complaint with the police. The police investigated the matter and revealed that the man’s wife Nirmala and nephew Vedvyas had strangled him to death. According to the information given by the prosecution, Mansingh’s wife Nirmala had an illicit relationship with his nephew Vedvyas. Mansingh was murdered for opposing this relationship.

Court sentenced to life imprisonment
According to the information given by the police, District and Sessions Judge Amit Pal Singh of the local court of Ballia heard the arguments of both the parties. After this, Nirmala and her nephew Vedvyas have been convicted on Tuesday. The court has sentenced both of them to life imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 7,000 each has also been imposed on both of them.
