A youth from Khajni police station area of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, befriended a girl during his job in Mumbai. During this time, he raped the girl by promising to marry her. Meanwhile, he came to Gorakhpur from Mumbai and married another girl on 24 November. On getting the information, the girl who reached Gorakhpur from Mumbai has now complained about the youth to the SSP.
The girl broke down in front of the SSP. She told that Harsh Uday Singh, a resident of Sarai Tiwari village of Khajni police station area, used to work in a company in Mumbai. During this time, he got acquainted with me. He used to call me all the time to meet. He promised to marry me and started meeting me every day. One day the accused called me to the flat and raped me. He also made a video of it.
The victim told the officer the story of brutality
The victim told that when I started crying due to the rape incident, he said that we both will get married after a few days. We will live like husband and wife. Meanwhile, in October last year, he was talking to someone on the phone about his marriage, then I heard it. When I asked him if he was going to leave me and get married to someone else, he said that no, this can never happen. This is the marriage of my cousin from my village. After this, he came to Gorakhpur on November 2, saying that it was his cousin’s marriage. After that, whenever I called him, he would say that he was busy.
The victim told the police that one day someone from her family picked up her phone. When I asked about Harsh, he told me that he was getting married on the 24th and was busy preparing for it. His mobile was on charging. Who are you? Tell me, I will tell them when I come. After that, I called Harsh several times. Once he picked up the phone, I said that I have come to know that you are getting married. This is not right under any circumstances. I am coming to Gorakhpur and will break your marriage. Then the accused started threatening to kill me and make the video viral.
