SP-Congress Alliance: After the alliance of Samajwadi Party and Congress in Uttar Pradesh, now it is considered certain that two leaders will get tickets. Both the leaders were earlier in Bahujan Samaj Party. Let us tell you that on Wednesday, SP and Congress have decided to contest elections on 17 and 63 seats. Out of the 17 seats that Congress has got in UP, 6 seats are from Western UP. Amroha also has one seat in it. Danish Ali is currently the MP from Amroha. However, BSP had expelled him in December itself.
His closeness to Congress came to light after Bharatiya Janata Party MP Ramesh Bidhuri abused him during the special session of Parliament. Rahul Gandhi also went to meet him and the entire Congress including Rahul supported him in the House. In such a situation, it is believed that Danish Ali will soon join Congress and the party will make him its candidate.
Will Imran Masood also get ticket?
The second name is Imran Masood. Imran Masood, who joined Samajwadi Party before the 2022 assembly elections, had returned to Congress only last year. It is believed that Congress may declare Imran as its candidate from Saharanpur. Before joining Congress, Imran was in BSP.
In the year 2006, Imran Masood won the election of Chairman of Saharanpur Municipality. In the 2007 assembly elections, he sought ticket from SP, but when SP refused to give him the ticket, he contested as an independent from Muzaffarabad assembly and won. Then he remained MLA from 2007 to 2012.
After this, he joined Congress just before the assembly elections in 2012. Congress also gave him ticket from Nakur assembly, but he had to face defeat in this election. Then he changed sides in 2014 and joined SP. SP also gave him Lok Sabha ticket from Saharanpur in 2014, but he lost the election here too. In the year 2017, he once again decided to return to Congress. He stayed in this party for five years, but in the year 2022 he again joined SP.
Then he felt disappointed with SP also and joined BSP. After this, he returned to Congress in October last year.
