Uttar Pradesh: An oil tanker travelling at high speed on National Highway-2 in Kaushambi district suddenly went out of control and overturned. As soon as the tanker overturned, a massive fire broke out in the tanker.

A speeding oil tanker suddenly lost control and overturned on National Highway 2 in Kaushambi district, Uttar Pradesh. It collided with a nearby high-voltage power pole. The tanker caught fire as it overturned, causing widespread panic among truck drivers. Vehicles were stopped wherever they were, leading to a traffic jam of approximately 10 kilometers.

Driver and cleaner saved their lives by jumping out

It is reported that the truck driver and cleaner escaped the fire after the tanker overturned. The massive fire raged for a long time. Upon receiving information, local police and fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene. The fire brigade team brought the fire under control after considerable effort. It is reported that the tanker was carrying Mobil oil, which was being transported from Delhi to Kolkata.

The truck caught fire at Lohda Mod on National Highway 2 in the Saini Kotwali area, where an oil tanker carrying Mobil oil from Delhi to Kolkata was traveling. As the tanker approached Lohda Mod, it lost control and overturned. The tanker came into contact with a nearby high-tension line, igniting a massive fire.

Vehicles Stuck in Traffic Jam for 10 Kms
Upon receiving information, Saini Kotwali police and fire brigade teams arrived at the scene and attempted to control the fire, but it took hours to bring it under control. There were no casualties, but a massive traffic jam occurred on both sides of National Highway 2, with vehicles stuck for approximately 10 Kms.

In view of the raging fire, vehicles were stopped at various locations to prevent a major accident. After the fire was brought under control, the vehicles were released. People gathered at the scene and, along with the fire brigade team, attempted to extinguish the flames.

CO Sirathu Santosh Singh stated that a fire was reported. Police were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters also arrived. The fire has been brought under control. There were no casualties. Vehicles were stopped on the National Highway after the fire broke out. Traffic has resumed after the fire was extinguished.
