Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given necessary guidelines while reviewing the arrangements for the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. Regarding the upcoming Magh Purnima bathing festival on February 12, the CM has given many important instructions to the administration and police officials, so that the safety and convenience of the devotees can be ensured in this world famous religious fair.
Number of shuttle buses should be increased: CM
The Chief Minister said that the traffic system should be managed in a better way, so that there is no queue of vehicles on the road and traffic jam situation does not arise anywhere. He directed that the parking spaces built on the border of Prayagraj should be used properly and under no circumstances unauthorized vehicles should enter the fair premises. For this, the number of shuttle buses should be increased, so that devotees can easily reach the fair area from the parking lot. He also asked to cooperate with children, elderly and women.
Instructions regarding traffic movement
The Chief Minister also said that coordination of traffic movement should be maintained in Prayagraj and its adjoining districts and barricading should be done to control the pressure of crowd in the fair area. He also instructed to contact the railway administration, so that the operation of trains remains continuous and the devotees can travel safely.
Asked to pay special attention to cleanliness
The Chief Minister also talked about paying special attention to cleanliness in Mahakumbh. He said that cleanliness should be maintained continuously in the fair area and Sangam site, so that the devotees get a clean environment. Apart from this, police patrolling should be increased in the fair area and availability of essential services like crane, ambulance should be ensured.
Parking arrangements should be monitored continuously
The Chief Minister asked the administrative officials to keep a constant watch on crowd control, traffic management and parking arrangements. He also instructed to keep the arrangements for the event to be held on the occasion of Sant Ravidas Jayanti smooth, so that all the programs can be completed in a peaceful and harmonious environment. He said, “It is our responsibility to ensure that every devotee is safely taken to their destination.”
Action against those who spread misleading information
Apart from this, the Chief Minister also talked about taking strict action against those who spread misleading information, so that the devotees and the general public can get the correct information. The Chief Minister described the role of 28 administrative officers and police officers posted in Prayagraj as important and asked them to work with better coordination. During this time, he also talked about keeping all the routes of Prayagraj open and not causing any disruption in traffic.
