A tragic accident has occurred in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. A massive fire broke out in a private bus full of passengers due to a high tension wire falling near Mahahar Dham in Mardah police station area. Five passengers were burnt to death in the fire, while 10 were injured. There were a total of 35 passengers in the bus. This bus was going to a wedding ceremony, when on the way a high tension wire fell on the bus and the bus caught fire.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the accident in Ghazipur. CM Yogi has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to immediately reach the spot and speed up the relief work. The Chief Minister has given instructions for proper treatment of the injured.
There were 35 passengers in the bus
The people injured in the accident are residents of Mau district. These people were coming to Ghazipur from Khiriya village of Ranipur police station area of Mau to attend a wedding ceremony, when a high tension electric wire fell on their bus near Mahahar Dham in Mardah police station area. There were 35 people from the bride’s side in the bus, currently an innocent child has been admitted to the district hospital Mau.
The wedding was to take place in the temple, the bride was coming from Mau.
Actually, Nandu Paswan, resident of Khiriya village of Mau, was going to Mahahar Dham of Ghazipur for his daughter’s marriage. The marriage of Nandu Paswan’s daughter was to take place in the temple. People from the groom’s side had also come to the temple, but this accident happened before the people from the bride’s side could reach. At present the police-administration team is present at the spot. Local people are also engaged in relief work. It is not yet known how many passengers have died.
Video of bus burning surfaced
A video of the accident has also surfaced, in which it is seen that a bus is burning next to the canal track and the people nearby are screaming after seeing the bus burning. The video of bus fire is quite horrifying. People say that even the fire brigade is not nearby, due to which the fire could not be extinguished in time.
The injured were admitted to Mau District Hospital.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to give Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50 thousand to the seriously injured and to provide free treatment. Mau SP reached the district hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured passengers. SP said that the injured are being admitted to the hospital and are being treated. The injured are being brought to the hospital through ambulance.
