Uttar Pradesh: In Bulandshahr district, a father strangled his daughter to death and threw her body into a canal; the accused father is in custody.

A heartbreaking incident has unfolded in Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh. A father killed his minor daughter simply because she stole 500 rupees from home for pocket money. This angered the father. He then strangled his daughter to death and threw her body into a canal.

The incident occurred in the Bulandshahr police station area of ​​Anupshahr. The deceased minor girl was 14 years old. Her father, Ajay Sharma, has been arrested. Police found the girl’s body floating in the canal in her school uniform on Friday evening. An investigation was launched.

According to the Times of India, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Tejveer Singh said the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. Immediate steps were taken to identify her, and the father, Ajay Sharma, was subsequently taken into custody. During interrogation, Ajay Sharma confessed that on Thursday, when he went to pick up his daughter from school at lunchtime, instead of going home, he took her to his farm.

According to Tejveer Singh, Ajay Sharma said that he strangled his daughter with her scarf in the farm and threw her body into the canal. Singh said, “The accused told the police that his daughter often stole money. He had been counseled several times. A few days ago, she had stolen 500 rupees from the household money, so he was angry with her.” An FIR has been registered against the accused father under sections of murder and destruction of evidence.

What did the deceased’s mother say?
The girl’s mother, Suman Devi, said that her husband misled her by claiming that he had left their daughter at a relative’s house for studies. Suman further said that the next day, a neighbor informed them that their daughter’s body had been recovered from a nearby canal. Suman, 14, was the eldest of four siblings.
