Preparations have intensified for the upcoming assembly by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. Let us tell you that by-elections are to be held soon for 10 vacant seats in the state assembly. Now Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has appointed in-charges for this by-election. For the by-election, SP has appointed Shivpal as in-charge of Katehari and Awadhesh Prasad as in-charge of Milkipur seat. Why is the seat vacant?
Out of all these seats, nine seats have fallen vacant due to SP MLAs being elected as MPs in the Lok Sabha elections, while the Sisamau seat has fallen vacant due to the cancellation of membership of SP member Irfan Solanki after he was sent to jail in a criminal case. However, the dates for by-elections on these seats have not been announced yet.
BSP will contest elections on all seats
Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati has also made a big announcement regarding the by-elections to be held for 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Mayawati has said that BSP will field its candidates on all 10 seats. Mayawati has also announced the party candidates from Phulpur and Manjhwa in a recent meeting. Mayawati urged the party people that BSP is a party of the poor and the oppressed, so if its followers do not reduce their support with their whole body, mind and money, then it will be better for the party and the movement.
