A journalist has been shot dead in broad daylight in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. The deceased journalist has been identified as Raghavendra Bajpai. He used to report in a national daily newspaper. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, took the body in custody and started investigating the case. According to the police, the miscreants hit journalist Raghavendra who was going on a bike near the overbridge.
When he fell on the road, several rounds were fired at him. The police is currently engaged in identifying and arresting the miscreants. According to the police, journalist Raghavendra Bajpai had left his office on Saturday afternoon to report some incident. As soon as he reached near the overbridge in Imalia Sultanpur police station area, the miscreants who were already waiting in ambush hit him with their car.
Raghavendra was a resident of Maholi
When Raghavendra fell on the road, the miscreants fired several rounds at him from close range. Raghavendra died on the spot in this incident. After the incident, the miscreants fled from the spot. According to the police, Raghavendra Bajpai, who lived in Maholi town, was associated with journalism for a long time. On receiving the news of his death, SP Sitapur immediately formed police teams to arrest the criminals.
