Uttar Pradesh: Main accused Mohammad Kaif arrested for forcibly converting a Hindu girl of Kaushambi district into a love trap and gang raping her

A sensational case has come to light from Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. A Hindu girl here is accused of forcibly converting her religion and gang-raping her after trapping her in a love trap. Not only this, the accused also made an obscene video of the girl and threatened to make it viral on social media. The police have arrested the main accused Mohammad Kaif in this case.

What is the whole matter?

This incident is from West Sharira police station area of Kaushambi. According to the victim, she met Mohammad Kaif about two years ago. Kaif trapped her in his love trap. The girl got married five months ago, but Kaif was constantly threatening her that if she did not meet him, he would get her husband killed.

Frightened by this threat, the victim spoke to Kaif’s sister Alfia. Alfia called her to her house and said that she would convince her brother. When the victim reached Alfia’s house, Mohammad Kaif, Irfan and Shah Alam were already present there. All three of them pressured the victim to marry Kaif. When the victim refused, they beat her up and raped her in turns. During this, they also made a video of the incident.

Threat to kill

After some time, Maulana Imran came there and he pressured the victim to convert to Islam and made her read Kalma. The accused threatened the victim that if she complained, they would kill her entire family. The victim was also given a Quran and a burqa and was threatened to be taken to Mumbai the next day. Somehow the victim fled from there and reached her home and told her family about the entire incident.

The victim reached the Superintendent of Police (SP) office and lodged a complaint in the matter. After the complaint, the police took immediate action and arrested the main accused Mohammad Kaif. Kaushambi DSP JP Pandey said that after a video went viral on social media, the victim’s mother lodged a complaint at the West Sharira police station. In the initial investigation, the police had registered a case under the IT Act. But based on the new facts that emerged in the investigation, a case has now been registered under Sections 66E IT Act, 70 (1)/61 (2)/127 (2)/351 (2)/352 BNS and 3/5 (1) Religious Conversion Act. The police are investigating the case thoroughly and the search for other accused is on.
