A sensational case has come to light from Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh. Here, three sanitation workers who had gone to clean the septic tank died due to inhaling poisonous gas. A young man who went to save them also died. After screaming after the incident, the local people took all four out of the tank and took them to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared all of them dead. Meanwhile, the police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
The incident took place in New Mahal area of Mughalsarai Kotwali area. According to the information, on the night of 8th May at around 11 pm, Vinod Rawat, Kundan and Loha Pandit were doing septic cleaning work outside the house of Bharatlal Jaiswal, resident of Lath number two of Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar. These three laborers were residents of Kali Mahal area of Mughalsarai.
This is how all four came under the influence of poisonous gas.
According to local people, this tank was about 12 feet deep. The three cleaners had cleaned half the tank. During this, all three one by one got hit by the poisonous gas of the tank and became unconscious. Seeing the sanitation workers falling into the tank, the landlord’s son Ankur Jaiswal reached to save them, who went inside the septic tank to save them. During this time, he also became unconscious due to exposure to poisonous gas. Seeing this scene, there was panic among the local people. There was shouting among the people present at the spot.
Police engaged in investigation
With some effort, people took all four out of the septic tank. After this, people called the police and informed about the matter. The injured were taken to the hospital, where doctors declared all four dead. After this there was shouting. Meanwhile, the police team that reached the spot sent the bodies for post-mortem. According to the police, the matter is being investigated. At present, there is chaos in the area after the death of all four. The family members of the deceased are in bad condition, crying.
