Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board has issued notices to 114 hotels in Kumaon region for violating pollution control rules and has sought a reply within 15 days

Pollution Control Board is preparing for a big action in Uttarakhand. Pollution Control Board has sent notices to 114 hotels in five districts of Kumaon. This notice has been sent for not fulfilling the standards and playing with the health of the people. The board said that some of these hotels have opened in the last one or two years and have not yet registered. It was also said that the hotels which are already open have completed their NOC but they have not renewed it.

Pollution Control Board in Uttarakhand has sent notices to 114 hotels in Kumaon districts and has sought a reply within 15 days. Actually, negligence and standards are not being met in these scams. After which the board is preparing to take action against them. The board said that most of these hotels have completed their NOC but have not renewed it.

Hotels of these districts received notice
The board sent notices and sought answers to the questions. These include 68 hotels in Nainital, 32 in Almora, 12 in Pithoragarh and two in Champawat Bageshwar. If they do not respond, action will be taken against the hotels and fines will be imposed. An official of the board informed that there are more than 800 such hotels in Kumaon. He said that such hotels are being identified.

Response has to be given in 15 days

Pollution Control Board regional officer Anurag Negi said that the hotels to which notices have been sent have to respond to the notices in 15 days. Irregularities were found in these hotels. After which this action is being taken. He also said that if the reply to the notice is not sent in time, then penalty action will be taken against the hotel. The board is concerned about people’s health. Action will be taken against hotels that are negligent and do not meet the standards.
