Before the birth anniversary of Constitution maker Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, some anti-social elements have tried to spoil the atmosphere in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. Some people insulted the statue of Baba Saheb and put a tire around his neck. People angry with this incident have started protesting and protesting. The birth anniversary of Constitution maker Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is celebrated with great pomp across the country on 14 April. However, even before this, a case of putting a tire on the statue of Baba Saheb located in the main market of Rudrapur has come to light. As soon as people saw this shameful act in the morning, there was a stir in the area. Slowly people started gathering at the spot and they started protesting by sitting in front of the statue.
Protesters adamant on the demand for arrest
Everyone has the same demand that the anarchic elements should be arrested as soon as possible. The people protesting say that this is an insult to our Constitution maker. We will not move from here until the accused are caught. The police, which reached the spot after the incident, has appealed to the people to maintain peace. On receiving the information, Kichha MLA Tilak Raj Behad and Rudrapur MLA Shiv Arora also reached the spot and demanded immediate action from the administration.
Suspects identified through CCTV
While investigating the case, the police started investigating the CCTV cameras installed around the statue. In the footage, more than half a dozen boys are seen roaming around the park and during this time one of those youths put a tire around the neck of the statue. A police officer says that we have identified the suspects. Arrests will be made very soon. At present, the police is engaged in investigation, but until the accused are arrested, the people of the society are adamant on continuing the protest.
