Chamoli: The doors of Siddhpeeth Latu temple have been opened for the summer season after worship on Monday (May 12) in Vann village of Chamoli, Uttarakhand. On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Latu Dham and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and welfare of the country and the state. He welcomed and greeted all the devotees who reached Latu Dham on the occasion of opening of the doors. CM Dhami started the meeting organized after worship at Latu temple with the cheers of Mother Nanda and Latu Devta.
During this, he congratulated the soldiers for the action taken by the Indian Army after the Pahalgam attack. He said that along with Chardham in Uttarakhand, there are many important religious places like Tungnath, Rudranath, Jageshwar, Kailash, Adi Badri. Along with this, small temples of the state preserve the cultural traditions of the state. CM Dhami told the historical importance of Latu Dham
Chief Minister Dhami praised the historical, social and cultural importance of Latu Dham and said that this temple is a symbol of our thousands of years old tradition. Today’s program is not just a religious event, but it is a symbol of faith, tradition and unity.
He said that the tradition of visiting the temple of Latu Dham with eyes blindfolded shows that faith is not only with the eyes but also with the heart. We want to make Uttarakhand the spiritual capital of not only India but the entire world. For which the government is renovating mythological temples, identifying and preserving cultural heritage as well as developing facilities around the temples.
‘The government is committed to safe Chardham Yatra’
He said that at present Chardham Yatra is being conducted, which is very important for the Sanatan followers of the country and the world. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Uttarakhand government is committed to keeping the Chardham Yatra safe and smooth. For which our government is providing all-weather road, medical facility, heli service in emergency times, so that no pilgrim coming on Char Dham Yatra faces any kind of inconvenience, special care is being taken.
Whereas all-weather road has been constructed for the development of the state. At the same time, the construction work of Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line is also being done rapidly. Along with this, master plan work is being done in Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham to provide passenger facilities in the Dhams.
CM Dhami counted the achievements of the government
The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand government is taking tough decisions for public interest. We had promised the people of the state to implement the Uniform Civil Code, which the government has fulfilled. Along with this, by bringing anti-conversion law, anti-riot law and strict land law in the state, work has been done to tighten the noose on land mafias.
During this, while Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami assured to work by making a plan for the development of Latu Dham, he also talked about working on the construction of sub-district hospital, flood protection work and helipad construction in Kulsari.
He also talked about including all the demands of the local people in long-term, medium-term and short-term plans. During this, he also talked about doing planned work to develop roads as well as parking and passenger facilities for the upcoming Maa Nanda Devi Rajjat Yatra to be held in 2026.
During this, the Chief Minister directed the district administration to do the work to be done for the organization of Maa Nanda Devi Rajjat Yatra in a planned and timely manner. He said that continuous monitoring is being done at all levels regarding the works of Rajjat Yatra. With the cooperation of all, the Rajjat Yatra to be held in the coming 2026 will be organized in a grand and divine form.
