New Delhi: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is angry on the issue of farmers. He has asked a direct question to the central government on this matter. He said, ‘I do not understand why there is no dialogue with the farmer. Instead of rewarding the farmer, we are not even giving him his right.’
What did Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar say?
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said, ‘Agriculture Minister, every moment of yours is important. I request you to please tell me. Was the promise made to the farmer? Why was the promise not fulfilled? What are we doing to fulfill the promise?’
He said, ‘There was a movement last year, there is a movement this year too. The wheel of time is turning, we are not doing anything. For the first time I have seen India changing. For the first time I am feeling that developed India is not our dream but our goal. India was never at such a height in the world. When this is happening, why is my farmer troubled and suffering? The farmer is the only one who is helpless.’
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said, ‘This time is painful for me because I am imbued with nationalism. For the first time I have seen India changing. For the first time I am realizing that developed India is not our dream but our goal. India was never at such a height in the world, our credibility in the world was never so high before, India’s PM is counted among the top leaders of the world today, when there is such a fog then why is my farmer worried? This is a very deep issue. Taking it lightly means that we are not practical. Our policy making is not on the right track. Who are those people who tell the farmers that they will give a fair price for their produce? I do not understand why a mountain will fall. The farmer is alone, who is helpless.’
