Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s dream project Vision 2030 is progressing rapidly. Saudi Arabia’s Investment Minister Khalid Al Falih said in a program in London that the Kingdom’s development plan is ahead of its deadline and more than half of its work has been completed. Khalid Al Falih said at the Saudi Sustainable Infrastructure Summit in Britain, ‘We have completed more than half of the path of Vision 2030 and I am happy to tell that we are ahead of schedule on all aspects of the project.’

Vision 2030 includes visions such as reducing Saudi Arabia’s economy’s dependence on oil and gas and changing it to renewable energy, promoting foreign investment in Saudi, increasing tourism, etc. Vision 2030 was presented by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as his dream project in 2016 and he had said in his statements that in the coming years, Saudi will be the second Europe, where every new technology and facilities will be available.

A boon for the Saudi economy
Al Faleh said in a program organized by the City of London Corporation and the Saudi-British Joint Business Council that Vision 2030 has been a boon for the Saudi economy, as Saudi is building a future beyond oil and gas through it. Finance Minister Mohammed Al Jadaan and several Saudi leaders have recently indicated that some parts of Vision 2030 have been reduced, despite this, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the British businessmen about it.

Attempt to woo European businessmen
In this program, Al Faleh said many good things about Vision 2030 in front of European investors and invited them to do business in Saudi. Al Faleh said that in the last seven years, foreign investment in Saudi has increased four times and the number of foreign licenses has increased 10 times. Giving the example of increased tourism, he told about the changed situation in Saudi and how safe and opportunistic Saudi Arabia is for foreigners.
