Waqf Amendment Bill: On Sunday, 6 April, a padyatra was taken out by the BJP Minorities Front in support of the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 in Shaheen Bagh area of New Delhi. The National President of the Front, Jamal Siddiqui, also attended this program.
However, permission was not granted at the place where permission was sought for the padyatra, due to which a heavy deployment of police and RAF (Rapid Action Force) has been done on the spot in view of security.
Thanks to the Prime Minister – Jamal Siddiqui
Jamal Siddiqui talked to the police officers present on the spot and appealed to maintain peace. Talking to the media, he said, “I want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The people of the entire Okhla want to thank him because he has made a good law by cancelling the old loot classes. Now the money and schemes of the Waqf Board will be used properly, which will benefit the needy poor in education, marriage or other works.”
He further said, “We have gathered here only to thank. We do not want any untoward incident to happen, so we ourselves are also alert. The police is doing its job and we respect its role.”
Ever since the Waqf Amendment Bill was passed by both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, the administration is alert about the security arrangements in the Shaheen Bagh area. The area is being monitored with the help of drones and the police is keeping a close watch on every street, every corner. Security agencies are fully prepared to deal with any situation.
Let us tell you that Shaheen Bagh, which has been famous for the anti-Citizenship Act (CAA) movement, is once again in the headlines. The police administration is fully alert about this march and is ready to deal with any situation. There is a constant dialogue between the organizers and the security forces to ensure that the program is conducted peacefully.
