New Delhi: The Waqf Amendment Bill will be introduced in the Lok Sabha today at 12 noon. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju will introduce this bill in the Lok Sabha. 8 hours have been allotted for discussion on this bill but the government has said that if the House agrees, the time for discussion can be extended. The government will also respond to the discussion today. The ruling party BJP has issued a whip for all its MPs and asked them to be present in the House today.

Similarly, TDP and JDU have issued whips to their MPs. On the other hand, the opposition is also mobilized to oppose the Waqf Bill. Poor Muslims have expectations from PM Modi: Shadab Shams

On the Waqf Amendment Bill, Uttarakhand Waqf Board Chairman Shadab Shams said, “Poor Muslims have expectations from PM Modi and that is why we have named this amendment bill ‘Umeed’. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju is a ray of hope…PM Modi government has decided that they will bring poor Muslims into the mainstream. It is ’70 years vs Modi tenure’. The opposition had 70 years and they did whatever they could. They looted the Waqf. The rich looted the rights of the poor…”

BJP got the support of allies
All the allies of NDA have unanimously supported the bill. Nitish Kumar’s JDU, Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP, Chirag Paswan’s LJP and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HUM have foiled the opposition’s plans by openly supporting the bill.

Meeting of Congress MPs

Congress has also called a meeting of its MPs at 9:30 am regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will address this meeting.

The rich looted the rights of the poor… They are scaring Muslims by saying that mosques will be taken away. Those who are protesting are not Muslims. They are political Muslims of Congress, Samajwadi Party, AAP and Janata Dal. Behind them are NGOs and committees like Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind and Muslim Personal Law Board, who want to go to Rajya Sabha through the back door… They are all Waqf beneficiaries. They are worried that it will be taken away from them. We are sure that PM Modi will pass the Waqf Amendment Bill And will give poor Muslims their rights.”

AIMPLB wrote a letter to secular parties and MPs

At the same time, let us tell you that after JDU and TDP came together on the Waqf Amendment Bill, the plan of the opponents of the Waqf Bill has now failed, despite this the Muslim organization is not ready to accept defeat. A letter has been written by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) to all secular parties and their MPs in which they have been appealed to vote against the Waqf Amendment Bill. This letter has been written to the MPs by AIMPLB President Khalid Saifullah Rahmani.
