WB: Anamika Mandal, a student of English department at Jadavpur University, died under suspicious circumstances

Kolkata: A tragic incident has come to light late Thursday night at Jadavpur University in West Bengal. According to reports, a student was found unconscious near a gate of the university, who was declared dead by doctors when taken to the hospital. The police, who arrived after receiving information about the case, are currently engaged in investigation and trying to find out the reasons behind the girl’s death.

Students saw the girl lying unconscious
According to reports, at around 10:30 pm, some students saw a girl lying unconscious near the pond of the Union Room located near Gate No. 4 of the university. This girl was identified as Anamika Mandal, a third year student of the English department of the university. The students immediately tried to revive Anamika, but all their efforts failed. After this, she was immediately taken to the nearby KPM Medical College Hospital by ambulance. But on reaching the hospital, the doctors declared her dead.

Wave of grief among the students of the university
This incident has sent a wave of grief among the students and staff of the university. Jadavpur police immediately reached the spot and started investigating the case. The police is trying to find out what was the reason behind Anamika’s death and how this accident happened. The exact cause of death has not been revealed yet. The university administration and the police are taking this matter seriously. Anamika’s family has been informed about this tragic incident.
