Weather Forecast:- After Diwali, the cold has started increasing in the plains of North-West India. The temperature has suddenly dropped and people have started feeling cold. Refrigerators and fans have started to switch off at night and blankets and quilts are also being taken out.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum and minimum temperatures in northwest India have dropped by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. The temperature is still 2-6 degrees Celsius above normal. The minimum temperature in parts of central, western and eastern India is 2-5 degrees Celsius above normal.
Drop in temperature
The minimum temperature in north and eastern India will drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius during November 03-07, which is expected to increase the cold further. Currently, the maximum and minimum mercury in Delhi NCR is between 32-34 degrees and 15-20 degrees Celsius respectively. This is 2-4 degrees Celsius above normal. The sky will be clear during the day and cold winds will blow at a speed of 8-16 km per hour. There is a possibility of mist and fog at night.
Severe cold will prevail in North India
North Indian states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh will be severely cold this time. Cold is expected to increase in the plains between 10 and 15 November, while the hilly areas had snowfall twice last month, due to which the cold in the winds has increased. At the same time, light to moderate rain is expected in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, Kerala for the next two days.
