West Bengal: BJP leaders continuously visited Sandeshkhali to corner Mamata government, National Human Rights took major action in Sandeshkhali case, National ST Commission will visit Sandeshkhali today.

Sandeshkhali of West Bengal has become a political arena these days. BJP leaders are continuously visiting Sandeshkhali and trying to corner the Mamata government. BJP will also release a documentary on Sandeshkhali today. At the same time, Bengal Police has accused a senior BJP leader of making objectionable remarks and has talked about action. Meanwhile, National Human Rights has taken major action in the Sandeshkhali case. A notice has been sent to the Chief Secretary and DGP asking for a report within 4 weeks. At the same time, the National ST Commission will visit Sandeshkhali today i.e. on Thursday.

ST Commission team reached Bengal
Let us inform that after National Women Commission and Human Rights Commission, now the team of National ST Commission is also going to investigate the Sandeshkhali case. A three-member team of the National ST Commission reached West Bengal to investigate complaints of sexual harassment of tribal women in Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district. Sources gave this information. In this regard, a source said that the team led by Vice President Anant Nayak will also investigate the complaints of people associated with TMC about grabbing the land of tribals.

The commission has also issued a notice to the Chief Secretary of West Bengal and the state police chief asking them to submit the factual and action taken report within three days. Amidst the political uproar over incidents of alleged rape and harassment of women in Sandeshkhali, the NCST team has reached Bengal for investigation.

Accusation of calling Sikh IPS ‘Khalistani’
Earlier, Bengal Police accused senior BJP leader Subhendu Adhikar of calling a Sikh IPS officer ‘Khalistani’ during the protest against Sandeshkhali. On this the IPS officer got angry at BJP MLA Shubhendu Adhikari. Bengal Police is talking about taking action in the matter.
