Kolkata: Another big news has come out related to RG Kar Medical College located in Kolkata, West Bengal. The body of a second year MBBS student of RG Kar Medical College was found hanging from the fan in her room in Barrackpore. No suicide note has been found near the body of the student.
What is the whole matter?
The body of a student pursuing MBBS from RG Kar Medical College was found hanging in Kamarhati quarter of North 24 Parganas district on Thursday night. The student was only 20 years old. Police sources say that the mother of the deceased student is a doctor by profession and the father is a bank employee. The father lived in Mumbai for work and the student lived with her mother in his hospital quarters.
The student was alone in her quarter on Thursday night. When her door did not open after calling from outside, the door was broken. Here the body of the medical student was found hanging from the fan. However, no suicide note has been found near the body. The police have registered a case of unnatural death and started investigation. However, the family of the deceased student is not telling the media anything about the reason for the death.
Let us tell you that on August 9 last year, there were widespread protests after the case of rape and murder of a female trainee doctor in RG Kar Medical College and Hospital came to light. In this case, the District and Sessions Court of Sealdah sentenced the accused Sanjay Roy to life imprisonment. However, the CBI had demanded the death penalty for Sanjay Roy from the court.
Sanjay Roy was convicted by the Sealdah Court on January 18 for raping and strangulating a female trainee doctor of RG Kar Hospital in August 2024.
