What did S. Jaishankar say bluntly on Pakistan inviting PM Narendra Modi to the SCO conference?
The Foreign Minister said that everything has some consequence. As far as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, Article 370 has been abolished there now. The issue is over. Why should we consider any relationship with Pakistan now.
‘We are ready to answer Pakistan’
When the Foreign Minister was asked what kind of relationship India can consider with Pakistan. Responding to this question, Jaishankar said- What I want to say is clear. He said that we are not passive. Whether the events with Pakistan take a positive direction or negative, we are ready to answer in every situation.
Earlier also, the Foreign Minister had said in a CII meeting in May that first they will have to stop supporting terrorism from across the border. It is clear that S Jaishankar’s stand on India-Pakistan relations is clear. He has repeatedly stressed that India’s policy against terrorism is clear. He said that Pakistan should first improve its image. First they have to make up their mind.
‘Our eyes are on the change of power in Bangladesh’
On the other hand, Foreign Minister Dr. S Jaishankar said about Bangladesh that – we are capable of dealing with the then government. However, he also said that we have to accept that there has been a change of power there. It is possible that they are disruptive but we need to remain mutual here too.
